Bug poison got into my pond. How do I make sure it's all cleaned out?

Thos just happened an hour ago. I went outside and my grandparents pond overflowed, and last week the bug people came by to deal with an ant problem we've been having. I guess they put bug killer near the pond, because all our koi died. All 15. Currently we're draining the pond and making sure we throw all the water lettuce away. My grandparents arent thinking of getting any new fish until spring next year. Would rinsing the pond and letting it run through winter be enough? Thanks
