Made a No Fert, No co2, no Filter Tank with 2 water plants and 4 different Moss Types I found in the forest. 2 of them are growing in the water and shrimps started breeding. Want to share my experiment.

My local pet shop (Denny's pet World) sells RCS of various grade for the same price, and today they were all 1/2 off!

Just put my shrimp in!

Got my 8 RCS and 2 bamboos put in the tank! Half of the RCS went straight to eating algae on the rocks, the rest hid in plants for a bit but they've come out now to eat. I'm so excited! I covered my filter intake up and removed the bigger guppies too

Amano shrimp health question

Posted: 05 Aug 2019 09:40 PM PDT

New to shrimp ownership. Have a couple amanos in a 4 gallon planted nano. Started out strong, but noticed them a little lazy? Just kinda sitting around and crawling. Minimal swimming, minimal algae consumption. Water here is very soft- good for amanos?- and parameters are stable at pH 6.8 NH3/4 0 NO2 0 NO3 2-5 KH 4-5° GH 2-4°

Is this normal amano behavior? Am I missing something? Hoping to add more, but I want to make sure I'm on the right track first.
