Help! My goldfish spawned naturally in their tank. I isolated some of the plants "fake and real" in spare tank but have no idea what I'm doing. Posted: 03 Aug 2019 10:24 PM PDT I scooped a big bowl of water from the tank and let it sit in the tank so they would stop eating their eggs and filled a spare emergency tank with water put a sponge bubble filter in and let stand for 10 - 12 hours before introducing the bowl of plants which I let climatize to the temp (because that's what I do for new fish so it makes sense to me I should do this). Then I placed them in the emergency tank and am now waiting to see if I get any hatches over the next few days. I have maybe 20-30 eggs isolated from their parents but I have no idea what my next step is. I don't have money to buy fry food this week and it'll be about 10 days before I can get my hands on some any and all advice anyone can give would be appreciated and I am aware I may have already done something drastically wrong and may have killed them already but as I said I really don't know what I am doing I didn't expect this to happen for at least another year.
