Axolotl - Aquariums - Not sure where to share these guys, but I figure this community would appreciate siren salamanders too! |

- So I just moved my axolotl into a new tank and he is usually very active and greets me when I walk up but now he won’t move. Does he just need time to adjust? Or should I be concerned. He was eating sand thinking it was food but he also ate some worms. All water levels are normal and temp is fine.
- Noodles and Spaghetti back when they were small chonks
- I received requests for more aquatic salamanders, so meet Necturus, the axolotl's cooler, edgier distant cousin.
- Since my other sirens got so much love, here are my dwarf sirens! The biggest one is only 3.5"
- White spot on his elbow just showed up recently. He is otherwise healthy and tank parameters are all normal. Is this something to worry about?
- Bubbles showing how much she’s grown in the last 2 years! She used to fit in that cave easily. (Bonus axolotl tail in front of her)
- My SO’s axolotl isn’t doing too well... he (pretty sure) is not wanting to eat and is being extremely lethargic. He is alive still and can swim but he is not himself this morning. More in comments.

- Havent posted an update on my Andersoni x Axolotl hybrids in a while. Their Andersoni pattern and colors are really starting to emerge!

- Where to buy an axolotl
- Question, so I just moved my axolotl into a tank with sand and this is new to him. He immediately thought it was food and tried to eat it but spit it back up. He did eat some worms when I put them in front of him. Will he realize the sand isn’t food over time? It’s fine filtered play sand.

Posted: 11 Aug 2019 07:03 PM PDT I do not have any local fish/pet stores near me. Where do I buy one? Is it dangerous to order them online? How do I know that the breeders online are any good? Thank you [link] [comments] | ||

My idea for an alternative to bare glass Posted: 11 Aug 2019 10:28 AM PDT I just picked up a couple tubes of aquarium safe silicone, a putty knife, and a bag of fine aquarium sand. My plan is put down the silicone, knife it fairly smooth, sprinkle the sand over, let it cure for a week on the back porch, and then clean it out and start filling and cycling it. Help!! Axolotl jerking around?! Posted: 11 Aug 2019 02:26 PM PDT Anyone with an axolotl please help me! I'm nervous my new axolotl has something wrong with it! It's kind of jerking around every so often and I heard it could be something with the water? I used the tetra aquasafe plus tap water conditioner and chlorinator but I read somewhere all products for fish will irritate their skin? I'm not sure what to do [link] [comments] |
