Mergo and Madoka have the same hooked right gill. Does anyone else have any axie siblings that share a distinct trait?

Looking for advice with gills: we bought Pancake with very small gills from a breeder over a year ago, but since they've almost completely disappeared. Water tests seem fine - is there anything I can do to encourage them to grow more?

Axolotl won’t eat.

It's been about two days and my axolotl hasn't eaten anything. I feed him red worms everyday, and pellets every now and then. I gave him night crawlers and pellets but he just spits them out. He's about a year old and eaten red worms all his life.

The face of an axolotl pooping into his brother's mouth. Sigh. (I of course didn't realize until I looked down!)

Leucistic Axolotl looking for a good home in Colorado.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I can no longer take care of my axolotl I purchased back in March of this year. But I'm at the point of where I cannot hone my attention towards taking care of my axolotl, due to working and going to school at the same time. I have an aquarium and have tried to setup the cycle of trying to get the water suitable, but I gave up once my older aquarium started leaking. And because of this, I've been tubbing my axolotl since March, with fresh water changes daily and thoroughly cleaning the tub. Here's the unfortunate part, my axolotl is becoming sick again, due to his slime coat peeling. He has been kept below 68 degrees or lower, so temperature isn't the issue. I also let the tap water purify from letting it settle for 24 hours. He has had a stable diet of eating salamander pellets.

If anyone is interested in taking my axolotl, I am willing to give him to a good home, for free; and someone who knows how to care of an axolotl.

I’m about to move, do I need to keep my whole filter wet if just the filter material?

My filter is pretty big and I'm not sure how I would keep it wet, is the filter material being wet good enough?
