How to humanely euthanize an axolotl?

One of my little guys unfortunately isn't doing well... If the time comes, what are some ways I could humanely let him go?

FREE Babies- Help

Posted: 26 Jul 2019 11:20 PM PDT

I have 19 wild type babies I need to rehome. I need need need them gone. Hatched on 3/21/19. They're having to share a tank because I don't have room to seperate them; some sources said it can work but it hasn't, they're taking bites out each other. They're getting big and I don't know what to do with them. On top of that I'm in California so I swore I'd just sell this batch online but I haven't sold any of them. I really really don't want to resort to giving them away illegally here. I've already rehomed the male; I got so excited when I found eggs, I'd hoped to do this once. That was a bad choice and I already rehomed the male, this is not happening again. $15 for shipping. Please message me.

I went on vacation for a week and had someone watch Millhouse for me. I got home and his gills on one side are missing and are way more sparse on the other side compared to a week ago. What is happening Is he going to make it?

Tank cycle

Posted: 26 Jul 2019 09:18 PM PDT

Hi all, I am looking to get my first lotl. There is an animal expo near me happening August 17th. I have done my homework on keeping them so I am good on that, but I am new to the world of cycling tanks. I am still slightly confused. The lotl breeder at the show sells bundles where you get a 20 gallon long tank, air pump, sponge filter, food, and an axolotl. If you get the tank/equipment and the lotl at the same time, how would that work if a tank needs to be cycled for weeks? Do you not need to cycle a brand new tank? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is my boy Mark! His left gills are short compared to his left right gills which are also short for his age. Does anybody know if this is bad or not?

Sores on my lotl?

Posted: 26 Jul 2019 06:00 PM PDT

Hello! I have an Albino axolotl who has been getting red sores on his body. First started with a mark on his nose and he now has a mark on his back fin and leg. Nothing has changed about his tank. Had him for over a year and never got these sores before. My other axolotl doesn't have any sores so unsure what's up? Any advice? Thanks!

Help!! Is my axie sick??

Posted: 26 Jul 2019 11:43 AM PDT

I recently bought my first axolotl, and I've had her since the 13th of this month. Everything has been going really well until yesterday. When I woke up she was floating at the top of the tank on her side. She would swim away if I touched her gently but she would always float back to the top. I did some research and did what I read online, I made the water colder and lowered the water level in her tank. After about twenty minutes she went back to normal, but she was floating on her side again this morning. She is a 3 inch long baby axie. Could this be that she inhaled too much air? Is an axie floating at the top normal? I'm really worried about my baby
