Cant help but thank this sub and my sister

Posted: 03 Jun 2019 12:54 AM PDT

So for the past few years I was severely depressed. After I made a reddit account and stumbled across this sub. I've always loved aquariums as a kid, my dad owned saltwater tanks. I started to do tons of research daily. One day last August my sister bought a betta for her classroom at school. I was so pissed off she was just going to leave the little girl in a glass bowl. I immediately said no.

In the back of my mind for months I've been wanting to start a tank, and never did anything about it. Until my betta entered the house. The next day of the betta being in my house I went to petsmart bought a 5 gallon tank. Put her(my female betta) in it and cycled it. I know it wasnt the best situation but better than a glass bowl. Now months later my little girl(still havent named her for some reason) is in my 65 gallon community tank, and now I have a 7.5 fresh water tank cycling and a 50 gallon reef tank. All thanks to my sister screwing up, and the great info thos sub provides. Just wanted to thank you guys.
