How contagious is Ellobiopsidae? Is my new shrimp colony doomed?

Posted: 05 May 2019 04:57 PM PDT

About a week ago I purchased some cherry shrimp to populate a little planted 4 gallon tank ive had setup for months with nothing in it. What I originally thought may have been a berried female when I took it home actually was infected with Ellobiopsidae. Having just noticed this I quarantined it immediately. I might try the medicated food technique i read about in the popularly referenced DiscoBee article.

However I'm very afraid for the rest of my shrimp. Will they all start to develop Ello or will they be okay now that I've removed the only VISIBLY infected one?
