[Low tech] My java moss is pearling. It's only pearling one bubble every 30 seconds or so, but still without any co2 system in place, I'm pretty excited.

Disaster/How should I restock my tank?

I've had my 10 gallon planted tank for 5 months now. At one point 4 months ago something happened in my tank and killed off all except two of my fish. So I've had only two Guppies in the tank since then. I felt as if they needed a new roommate and decided to try to buy another fish. After going to the pet store I found a very small very timid girl betta. She was hiding and showed no signs of aggression to the other bettas in her sorority(I watched her for a long time). So I eagerly brought her home. When she got in the water she immediately aggressively chased and bit a chunk out of tail of one of my guppies! I immediately returned her. Now I need help, should I get another fish for the tank? If so what type? or should I just leave them?
