Can you put a burrowing crayfish in an aquarium?

I got my cray a few weeks ago and he's in a 10 gal aquarium now, but he hardly ever moves (except for that one time he escaped, imagine my surprise when I woke up with him IN my blanket!). The thing is I found him by a pond right next to a burrow and now I'm starting to think I might have given him the wrong habitat. Can anyone help me out?

Montana Native looking to catch crawfish for eating purposes

Hey guys, I'm actually born and raised chicago but just moved here, but despite being a northerner i have a taste for crawfish anyway. Any tips on catching wild crawfish to eat?
