- My sweet girl of three years passed away a few months ago, so my boyfriend gave me this memorial stone to remember her by ❤️ SIP Olga
- My Copper Alien betta flaring in his new tank thats next to the betta imbellis tank. Wild type bettas prefer tanks of around 2.5-5 gallons with live plants and some tannin to soften the water so a semi planted biotope type set up is recommended for best coloration of these wild type bettas.
- "I am most unamused"
- Not my picture. saw this on FB and thought it was hilarious hahahah
- Meet Meliodas, everyone! Isn’t he pretty?
- Best way to clean out tank after Betta died, in preparation for a new one?

| Best way to clean out tank after Betta died, in preparation for a new one? Posted: 26 May 2019 07:09 AM PDT Hi everyone. I've got a 9 gallon Fluval Flex fish tank. We had a betta fish for 3.5 years. The past few weeks, the fish was quite lethargic and not swimming around very much. Hanging around in the bottom corners of the tank. He still seemed to be eating. This morning, he was lying on the gravel on his side and looked quite pale/white vs his normal blue color. Unfortunately it looks like he has died. My 6 year old daughter is quite upset about and would like to get another fish. Question is, should I be doing some type of cleaning/sterilization on the tank? I'm not sure if the fish died from natural causes or if there was something else that caused his demise. I definitely want to try and eliminate anything being passed over to the new fish. This tank has a big, large foam filter, a charcoal baggie and white round beads to encourage healthy bacteria. Should those simply be replaced or can they be cleaned as well? Thanks James [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 26 May 2019 11:28 AM PDT I have a beautiful betta, but fear I'm not caring for it well enough, I have a higher flow and fear it's hurting his fins. I need the high flow to help with algae struggles and is better for the other fish (harlequin rasboras). How should I go about looking for a new home for him or address how I can work with creating a better environment for him? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 26 May 2019 09:01 AM PDT Hi! about a year ago, I got about 20 small snails (two different kinds; a cylindrical kind of shape and the stereotypical shape) to put in my tank. After a couple of weeks, I noticed empty shells in the tank but didn't think anything of it. Then one day, I heard a loud sound from the tank and turns out my betta was the one sucking my snails out of their shells. Luckily, before he was able to kill every single one of them, they were able to reproduce so i still have snails. However, I really would appreciate any snail recommendations that their betta got along with! [link] [comments] | ||
