Betta Fish Aquariums - How do I keep my Betta fit and healthy? Personally as a breeder for over a decade and purely on wild types I flare train my males daily for at least 20 mins a day, it provides exercise for the fish by increasing blood flow throughout the fins and body and keeps the fish active and alert.

He was moving too fast for me to get a clearer picture, but this is my new friend Cosmo! I'm in love with his coloring. I've had him for 2 days and I'm excited to see if his body turns blue soon.

does anyone else stress about their betta's happiness? he has everything he needs and is healthy but like, is he enjoying himself in there?

i mad over-anthropomorphize him lol. i know it's so silly but he's such a funny lil dude, and he always gets so excited when i come home or interact w him in front of his tank. even if I just sit up in my bed he rushes to the front of the tank to see what's up.

I live basically alone so he'd get less attention if I moved him into a common area rather than my bedroom. I got him some snails and a couple shrimp tankmates but they don't like, chill together or anything. is he lonely when I'm out and there's nothing going on in front of his tank?

does anyone get anxious over this too? my friends totally give me crap for this whenever i say stuff like "let's hang in my room so we can keep robert company," which is fair bc that does sound kind of ridiculous. I just don't want him to be lonely!!

here he is, and a full tank shot since i don't have one up yet. not much in there but i'm building as I go.

here's a goofy vid of him coming to a full stop when he saw the fork i put in the tank to hold down a cucumber slice for the snails

Please help - How do I fix his red spot??

Posted: 03 May 2019 12:10 PM PDT

So in one of my other posts it was brought to my attention that what I have thought was a spot of color on my betta Butters, may be an injury and I am about to lose my shit! Thank you to those who brought it to my attention!!

He has had it ever since I got him a little over a month ago. He is in a cycled 5 gallon tank that I check water in 2x a week and do regular water changes in. Parameters have been perfect, I just checked it last night ... PH 7, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and about 5 nitrate, his next water change is due this weekend. He has a heater that keeps his tank at 78 F and live plants. One rock, but it does not have sharp edges. He does not act like anything is wrong with him, as a matter of fact, he seems to have ADHD and is literally never still. No lethargy at all.

My concern is, with his tank having been perfect this whole time since I have had him, why has it not healed? What do I need to do differently? It has gotten a TINY bit bigger, so I thought he was just changing colors. But now I am literally shitting bricks because this is my little Butt Butt and I love him to pieces and I feel like a terrible person for not realizing this was an injury :(
