- This is probably the best fish picture I've ever taken. It was like she was just waiting for me to take the pic!
- Rare loach plant almost ready for the harvest!
- One month old Golden Wonder Killi
- I moved and rescaped the 20 gal. community. This is one of the rare moment I can see everyone.
- Not in this neighbourhood
- Fancy shrimp with her monocle
- My Male BN has recently got these white spots, is he okay? He is fairly new (2 months in the tank) compared to a female I've had for over a year. My water is spot on. Could it have anything to do with this is his breeding cave and he is currently looking after a batch eggs my female laid?
- Just got this giant ship
- Feeling hungry, might delete later, idk
- Let the cycle begin!
- Can anyone confirm my cory cat's breed?
- Day 1 of my new tank!
- 75 gallon planted community tank for FTS Friday. Thinking of adding a school of cherry barbs this weekend. Thoughts?
- Just added the big rock! On a scale of 1 to 10, how satisfying is this?!?
- How often should you test your water, and do multiple tests come in one kit?

| How often should you test your water, and do multiple tests come in one kit? Posted: 03 May 2019 06:43 AM PDT Hi all! I'm setting up my first ever aquarium after doing research. I know about cycling and plan to do that before getting my fish. I'm setting up a 40b with 2 fantail goldfish, and plan to have 2 filters (I don't know what gallon size yet but 40 each or over). I might also add a mystery snail because my LFS has magentas, but I know they can get huge so I would only get 1 if any. How often should I be testing my water after I add my fish? With every water change? I'm afraid of something happening and me not being aware, and then my fish die, and then I test and find out my ammonia is through the roof. Ideally I'd like these goldfish to grow big and live a long time of course. But that also sounds really expensive. Would I have to go out and buy a new test kit after every water change? Is there a schedule I should follow regarding water testing? Thanks all! Just want to make sure my fish stay healthy. I also wanted to mention I might end up getting a 50g. My LFS doesn't have any 40's and the closet is 38. Do you guys think that 2g difference would really make a difference or should I go right for the 50? [link] [comments] |
