- Their diets consist of red-worms and sinking pellets. Lol this funny girl tried to get the food even though it was for her brother now she doesn’t want to get off him
- My axolotl tank. It’s a 45 gallon with two filters a fluval and a sponge filter. This is where Jiggles, Abacus, and Kip stay. They love it. I have tried different hiding places, but they fight over them, so I make it even for everyone of them. Tank stays 64 or less. Very proud of this tank
- How long before babies can eat food that isn’t baby brine shrimp?
- Cheap water chiller?
- Axie care misinformation
- New tank!

Posted: 16 Apr 2019 11:18 AM PDT Hello all! I got my first axie a couple of days ago. I thought I had done enough research regarding water changes, but I was researching some more today and found a ridiculous amount of misinformation, so I was hoping some of you could clear that up! I found that most places say to do water changes once a week (20%?). However, I found another website saying that some people do water changes every other day, some do them every day, and some do them once a week. So I guess I am pretty overwhelmed with the plethora of information from this. I also have seen that some feed their axies in their tank they are in all the time, and some feed them in a separate container. My axie is around 2.5 inches in a 20-gallon tank. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions! I also would like to know what kind of filter you use? I currently have a whisper filter that hangs from the side but was considering getting a sponge filter. If there is anything I didn't mention where you have suggestions, please throw them at me! Thank you in advance! [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 16 Apr 2019 10:42 AM PDT Hi guys! I've had my axies for almost two years and I noticed fungus on their gills about two weeks ago. I tubbed them immediately and they've been in their tubs since. I changed the water every day to make sure the fungus was completely gone. I'm buying them a new tank and am wondering what the best way decorate/treat the water to make sure this doesn't happen again. This is the first time they've ever had fungus, so I'm not sure what went wrong. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
