Lost a baby axie :,(

Posted: 10 Apr 2019 09:48 PM PDT

I (Reggie's mama) lost one of the 25 babies I was given. I knew they wouldn't all make it, but this makes me so sad and honestly I'm still crying. How many will probably not make it? And what can I do to help many survive? Thanks

Tips to help destress and axolotl

Posted: 11 Apr 2019 05:19 AM PDT

So I've had my boy Rey for a few months now and since he's my first we've had our ups and downs together. Recently I noticed his gills were curved and he seems withdrawn from me. How can I help destress him? Is there anyway to bond with him better? I had raised and hand feed him since he was a tiny baby.

First time lotl owner here! This was taken after I tubbed her due to cycling and skin irritation (I was unaware) waiting on bloodworms This has not been easy! But the tips help!

What am I going to do with over 100 babies??

Posted: 10 Apr 2019 06:20 PM PDT

Hi Everyone. I recently had over 1800 babies hatch. We hit out one week mark today, and I thought I would have lost some by now but I haven't! I'm happy they're all healthy and eating, but I am starting to get nervous about what I'm going to do to rehome/sell them. I know some pet stores may buy some, but I don't know what to do with all of them! Any suggestions? I know about cuadata and a few facebook pages. But are there any like "pet ebays" or something like that??

Should I be concerned about a little cut on rune? I just got home from work and my sister said he spazzed out, hitting the top of his tank lid and somehow got this little cut. He’s actually perfectly normal ive just never seen him spazz out that bad to where he gets hurt.

Axolotl freezing up whenever I get close need help.

Posted: 10 Apr 2019 05:51 PM PDT

I've had my axolotl for about 5 months now, and recently he's been freezing up whenever I'm close to the tank. He's always been a little scared, but he hasn't really ever frozen up like this. He used to only get scared when I'm doing a water change/ cleaning his tank. Also he's been staying in his hide only poking his head out a lot recently.

HELP!!!

Posted: 10 Apr 2019 03:25 PM PDT

Came across this cutie last week ❤️

Posted: 10 Apr 2019 12:51 PM PDT

Is this too much current for an axolotl? I zoomed in on the plant to show how strong the current is on the bottom of the tank.

Proper tank care. Please help

Posted: 10 Apr 2019 06:03 PM PDT

So I have my tank cycled and all that but I feel kinda lost now. My filter doesn't seem to be filtering much and just has a sad flow coming from it. I want my lotls healthy so is there any good ways to help keep it clean? How can I switch filters without destroying my cycle?

My one axolotl here looks to have gill rot while my other one here has really short gills, though she has always had them and has acted normal. What is happening? What should I do? thanks
