Mystery Snail - End of Life?

I have had a golden mystery snail for about 1.25 years now. We got him when he was fairly decent sized. I have read that they only live for a little over a year.

For the past month the snail hasn't really moved, yet only for a few hours per day will slug around the tank and be out. He hasn't ate anything for well over a month. Is this normal for snails reaching end of life? Just trying to figure out what is happening.

I apologize if this is the wrong subreddit, but appreciate any insight!
