Surprise baby goldfish. I’m shocked and beyond happy!

After a month of hunting all the LFS in the DC/MD/VA, I ~*finally*~ found one selling smol Pearlscales. Meet Lil’ Dropsy

I’m new to housing goldfish, and i’m worried my black moor, Jeremy, might have fin rot. His tail looks a bit odd, and the ends look almost frayed. Thoughts? Advice is very much appreciated as well.

Filter Question

Posted: 09 Mar 2019 07:29 PM PST

I have a 50 gallon tank and a filter for a 50 gallon tank. I noticed that it doesn't seem to be filtering super well and I do more frequent water changes because of it. Would it be okay to get more than one filter, or a filter for a larger tank?

I saw this on my goldfish’s fin yesterday. Does anyone know what it is? His behavior has not changed.

How long could two Fancies last in a 20 gallon?

Posted: 09 Mar 2019 12:01 PM PST

I have 2 small fancies in a 50 gallon right now with a broken brace. I tried fixing the brace with epoxy and it lasted all of 30 seconds. I had them in a 30 or so gallon storage bin but its bowing out and I don't feel great having that sitting on the floor. Its obviously a temporary stay for them but if it takes me a while to find a new brace, I want to be sure they'll be ok in this one.

School Carnival Fish

Posted: 09 Mar 2019 07:42 AM PST

Help! My daughter brought home a goldfish from the school carnival, and I need to get him set up in a proper tank asap. We've never kept fish, so he's currently in a very small tank with tap water and a dash of water conditioner. I'm setting up a 10 gallon tank (I know larger is better, but that's not possible), filter, gravel, etc this morning. I know ideally I would cycle the tank, but I feel like he doesn't have time to sit in that tiny tank with no filter - how bad is it to move him into the larger, filtered tank as soon as I have it set up, filled with 64-68 degree water with conditioner and a filter?

I don't know what to do

Posted: 09 Mar 2019 01:01 AM PST

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit lost and I don't know what to do with my goldfish. I have one common and one Black Moor in 35g tank. I know it is not enough for the common and I have been trying to fond someone with a pond to host my common (unsuccessfully) but recently the common has been showing signs of aggressivity towards the Black Moor which is pretty badly injured... I really feel helpless and I don't know what to do with my common. Any idea about what I could do ?
