Is she berried? Her tail seems a bit thicc, but she's also just about completely opaque.

Day 1 of having Orange Rilis in my Fluval Spec 2.6! One of them is berried, too, so hopefully I’ll have more soon...

Cycling some new tanks this weekend.

Is it safe to start a tank cycle with fontanus, or should I wait to add that to a tank?

Looking to setup a small shrimp tank, could I get some beginner advice?

Hello! I have an old 5.5 gallon tank at home, and now that i'm all settled in my college apartment, i've been looking into keeping shrimp for the first time. I've got plenty of time to care for the tank, and since my school doesn't have a summer break (oof), I know that I won't have to worry about moving the whole setup very soon. I'd appreciate any general advice y'all could give, along with these specific questions I have:

-Is 5.5 Gallons too small? I know that a lot of people tend to underestimate how much space aquatic pets need, and I wouldn't want to keep them in my tank if it means they'll be unhappy.

-What shrimp should I be looking into? I've been torn between RCs and Amanos and I haven't been able to make up my mind.

-What are the step-by-step instructions for cycling a tank? Everything i'm finding online is admittedly kind of confusing.

I, like many others at r/aquariums r/plantedtank maintain planted aquariums, but want to know what it takes to finally start that shrimp tank we've been talking about for years.

What's your favorite piece of advice when discussing what you would consider an ideal Shrimp tank?

We want to know your insight, the dos and do nots, the r/thiccshrimp secret.
