Posted: 11 Feb 2019 03:09 PM PST I found some really nice posts on here about dragging toadstools. I had a beautiful one but it was too large for my 14gal biocube so I decided I'd cut around the top and frag from it. I made 7 beautiful frag pieces and tried gluing them to rubble. Then I tried using rubber bands when the glue didn't hold and now I have 14 frags because although I was careful to not have them too tight the pieces swelled right up and split in two. Long story short I was wondering if anyone has a better way of doing it? Thank you [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Feb 2019 06:12 PM PST In terms of handling them, I have a tiny colony on a piece of rock about 4cm long by 1.5cm wide, should I worry about gloves and glasses or am I okay to continue moving/touching them with bare hands as long as I wash my hands after. Thanks [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Feb 2019 10:58 AM PST I purchase a Phosban 550 reactor after measuring my 500 gallon mixed reef tank phosphate levels at 2.5 ppm. I loaded with the amount of Simplicity GFO as directed on the Phosban instructions. It has been running two weeks now, and I have not seen a reduction in my tank. The output water is measuring at almost exactly the same amount of phosphate as the rest of my tank. Should the output be almost 0 phosphate? Is it possible I have used up the GFO in only 2 weeks with such high levels? I am positive I have my flow rate adjusted properly by the motion of the substrate in the reactor. [link] [comments] |
