New to fancy goldfish, was hoping for some help suggesting tank mates for my 6 fan tails.

Hey guys, as title suggests I'm new to the fancy Goldie's and am aware about the temperatures, the mess and what not and how to take care of my fish. (Got a massive fountain with heaps of comets and shoubokin can't remember their name for the life of me* Thing is I recently upgraded them into my heated pond that's around 500L and am wondering what are the best tankmates for them ? They are around 2 and a half inches big and as mentioned before fantails. I want other goldfish not Plecos or loaches etc. I've heard that comets and anything other than fancy Goldie's aren't a good tankmate for them. I'm leaning towards butterfly tails or orandas, so tell me what you guys think and around how many fish is ideal for a 500L. Thanks in advance oh knowledgeable fish handlers hahah, proud to have gotten into the hobby recently.

What type of plastic tub is safe for goldfish?

Posted: 01 Feb 2019 10:56 AM PST

Hi, my tank has sprung a leak at the bottom. I've seen people recommend plastic tubs as a temporary home for goldfish. Is there a specific type of plastic? Or is food safe plastic enough? I'm in the UK if anyone has a brand to recommend.

I have 3 comets, so it's going to need to be pretty large and strong enough to withstand a lot of water.

Ehhh.. what this? Doing a water change and algae scrape and I see this? I think it might be like clumped eggs my female is passing, but not sure. I only have 1 mature female and she’s been getting chased a little by the boys..
