Urgent! I accidentally broke my coral :( will it survive? It’s an Sps

Posted: 05 Jun 2021 04:59 PM PDT

Day #2 Gsp has started to open throughout the day slowly, very faint green color, mainly brown, hopefully after adjusting to the light and parameters the green comes back.

Easiest encrusting coral?

Posted: 05 Jun 2021 05:29 PM PDT

I am working g on a tank resurrection and will be building up to a more or 1/3. 1/3 1/3 sps, lps, and zoas etc. more the month level of sps and not the acro level.

I want to stick with one encrusting coral family so that I don't have to deal with coral war too often.

I'll be doing montipora as a shelf, but I am also open to the idea of encrusting. The other main ones I'm thinking about are chalice, favia, favites,

I just want pretty (psychedelic) variety that will grow easily in my type of tank without playing coral war anymore. Commit and leave (with monti plates being present regardless).

Help?

Posted: 05 Jun 2021 10:50 PM PDT

So my clownfish died today, I had no idea why but I went to get it out when the water shocks me. I try again and there is a fricken electric current running through my water. I turned off the pump and the current stopped so I think the pump in my tank is electrifying my water??

How long can my tank go without a pump to circulate the water? Currently there is one snail a shrimp and some zoas still alive in it.

High temps

Posted: 05 Jun 2021 06:09 PM PDT

Besides a chiller do those clip on fans work. Today was only like 87F and the temps in the tank about 82 i put frozen water bottles and only for a second it kept it down and now really. This week it will 95F. How can I keep it cool to about 78

Any light recommendations? My t5s randomly popped this morning, (straight shattered in the tank.) I’m running light from Amazon and I want to know if it’s powerful enough to support my coral in the mean time before I buy another light.

Was it the urchin?

Posted: 05 Jun 2021 08:22 PM PDT

Tank is just coming up on a year old, first fox face thought his chances would be better off on my tile floor, So we got a better (clearview) lid. This one did great for about 2 months, then appeared very stressed, dead within 24 hours. Tank parameters aren't perfect, but kept in check. every fish and coral are doing fine, added a long spine urchin recently and I think the fox face got spooked and impaled itself doing this. Yet the lack of broken spines in the fox face, and no apparent damage to the urchin confuses me. Do you think it was the urchin?

Will zoas grow upside down?

Posted: 05 Jun 2021 08:11 PM PDT

So I have a large pedestal that I am thinking of turning into a zoa garden. If I let them take it over, will I need to frag them to keep them from growing off of it?

The pedestal in question:
