My goldfish has red/blood patches on it

Posted: 23 Sep 2020 09:48 PM PDT

My common goldfish has some blood on its dorsal, where its pelvic fin connects to its body, its pectoral fin, the back of its anal fin, places on its scales (and possibly the gill cover i'm not too sure though)

this has happened before, I have never known what the cause has been of it but it is not affecting my fish. I don't know too much about goldfish so sorry if this is written wrong. I have 2 goldfish (one is named Fish one is name Chips) I don't know if they have been fighting, which I don't think is likely because they always follow each other around the tank and do the same thing with no issues.

I don't think my goldfish will die from it but I am very curious why this is happening. an explanation would be great to hear!

Somethings wrong with my goldfish..

I've checked to see if it's any of the obvious symptoms and I gave him un-shelled peas just incase he had any swim bladder issues. I don't think that's the case though. This started about a 1 week ago and I've given him the peas for 3 days to look for any improvement.

He stays at the bottom of the tank but upside down or kind of on his side? He comes up to eat but ends up back in the same spot in the corner of the tank later. I really don't know whats wrong with my fish. The other oranda in my tank is doing fine, as well as the other fish.

Swim bladder problem!! Help!

Posted: 23 Sep 2020 12:38 PM PDT

So I have a 55 gallon and do two 25% water changes a week, hand feed them gel food, blanched spinach, and brine shrimp. My 3 goldfish seem happy and healthy, until today I noticed one of them struggling to keep from floating up. I see him (and only him) go to the top of the water every now and then seemingly for air.. not sure how to stop this behavior since I have never fed them from the top of the water. I also have 1 bubbler and 2 hob filters.

Is it ok to give my red cap a whole cube of bloodworm?

Posted: 23 Sep 2020 04:07 PM PDT

I have his water temp at 24 degrees celsius(75.2 Fahrenheit) and do 40-70% changes x2 weekly. Is it ok to give him 1/3 of a cube at 6:30am 4:30pm and 10pm? Along with a pea or two? Im trying to get him to grow fast and just want to know if itll be healthy for him rn he gets a pellet some flake 3 peas and a few bloodworms spread throughout the day but i keep his water clean so waste isnt a problem

Advice on compatibility

Posted: 23 Sep 2020 08:03 AM PDT

I'm planning a pond in central Florida. I would like a couple goldfish, I'm leaning toward fantail, common, or shubunkin. My concern is I plan on having some native critters as well. A musk turtle, flag fish, lesser killies, and sailfin mollies. Those fish are relatively small and I'm looking for advice from goldfish peeps. I'm fine with the babies possibly being eaten(two of those fish are live bearers). Would the goldfish and turtle be ok together? Musk turtles are supposed to be slow swimmers. I'm worried about everyone getting enough food.
