| How fast do cherry shrimp breed? Posted: 14 May 2020 08:22 PM PDT All the information I've found about cherry shrimp breeding so far is how to encourage it, but I actually have a different question. Essentially, I wanted to know how fast / often cherry shrimp breed. I have no intention of growing a massive colony or selling them. I have a 20 gallon tank currently being cycled that will be home for a school of skirt tetras and maybe some kuhli loaches later, and was thinking that some RCS would be a great addition! However, I don't want to accidentally start a massive colony that I don't have the space or time to properly care for. I was thinking of getting 10 or so. Is there any reason to be concerned about this? Is it likely for the population to grow quickly, or will it stay relatively the same without intervention/purposeful breeding? Thank you!
