Is "Lobophyllia? More like Lobophilia!" a good pun or does it just sound like I want to fuck corals? Oh well, here are some of my favorite lobos in a client's mixed reef.

Vermetids or shag carpet? (Inside the skimmer)

are these the dreaded dinos? I bought a shitty microscope from target and it’s damn near impossible to focus.

What are these on my glass? They are insanely small. This was using a camera microscope.

Didn't see our goby for almost 3 weeks..

Posted: 17 May 2020 04:42 PM PDT

I haven't seen our yellow watchman goby in almost 3 weeks.. i checked the sump a few times but couldn't see well. Today I checked again with my phone video with the flash on and saw a spec of yellow.. I got him out and back into the tank and the sucker is still alive!

Any advice on how we can keep this from happening? The stinker had me worried for a while!

Using frozen shrimp food?

Can I store what I don't use in the refrigerator for 1-2 days and feed again or do I have to throw away what isn't eaten?

Long Tentacle Anemone Question

Posted: 17 May 2020 05:21 PM PDT

So I got my first anemone and was kind of blown around so I put it on top of the rock that I have which is a white piece of coral stone with lots of holes in it it has its foot in a hole and it keeps contracting and expanding in the hole I don't know if it's stuck or if it's trying to settle in. It also has a mucus or slimy film on one side. Should I gently help it out or just let it be. When my wife picked it out at the store I was just blowing around in the corner of the tank. I had yet to see it stick to anything.

Rock flower heeeelp!! Came home from a weekend trip and suddenly seems bleached out. Was green before. Everything else is excellent. Thoughts? A goner?

65 gallon reef stocking

Posted: 17 May 2020 03:45 PM PDT

I'm going to be setting up a 65 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump and either a Buble magus curve 5 or a reef octopus 110 for filtration soon and I'm trying to figure out my stock. Right now in my 20 gallon I have one clownfish (not sure what type) and one firefish, the dream is to have a fu Manchu lionfish but I don't think that can happen with my current fish. Any other recommendations? The only other things I'd really like are another clownfish to finish the pair, maybe a mandarin (if I can get a healthy copepods population), and maybe a fire angle.

Edit: incase anyone was wondering dimensions it's Length: 3 feet Width: 18 inches Height: 2 feet
